Summer Food Service Program: Free Summer Meals Rutherford County and Beyond

The RCS School Nutrition department is again offering their Summer Food Service Program, Monday-Friday June 2-July 24, except for July 4th.
Meals will be provided to all children 18 and younger free of charge and are the same for all children regardless of race, color, national origin, sex, age or disability, and there will be no discrimination in the course of the meal service.
The federally funded food program is provided each year in high poverty areas to ensure area children have access to a proper nutrition while school is not in session.
Meals will be provided at the sites listed below. Please contact individual cafeterias for specific serving times.

  • Cedar Grove
  • LaVergne High
  • LaVergne Middle
  • Roy Waldron
  • Smyrna Elementary
  • Smyrna Middle
  • Stewartsboro
  • Whitworth-Buchanan Middle

Nashville Metro, Davidson County, School Summer food program will start June 4th and continue until July 27th for school aged children. 
Check with your county, as many local schools offer the same types of programs for families and children in need.
