People often ask me about survey sites. Which ones are legitimate, where can you really make money... etc.? 

Unfortunately, there are a lot of scams out there. No survey site is going to make you a millionaire, but I have been paid for my opinion, hundreds of times. 

Whether it was in a focus group ($75) or an in-home visit ($150), or simply taking surveys online for cash or saving my points and redeeming for great rewards, gift cards and more, there are also a lot of legitimate survey sites. 

The first rule of thumb is, if it is too good to be true, it probably is. 

But I will not recommend a site that I know to be a scam. Only sites that I have dealt with, and that I know you can make a dollar or two on.

Ebates pays their members cash back every time the shop online.They were founded in 1988, and have paid over $250 million in cash to its members. 

Saving money with Ebates is easy.  When you shop online, go to Ebates first and look through their list of merchants, and the available coupon codes. Each merchant has a different cash back amount, generally 2-6% or so, which may not seem like an incredible amount, but it can really add up.
