The U.S. National Park Service offers a free or inexpensive kids Junior Ranger Program at participating National Parks. Some Parks offer the program at no cost, others charge a small fee for the materials and pins or patches for the program, it varies from park to park. Scouting Ranger Programs are available for the Girl Scouts and the Boy Scouts.
The Stones River National Battlefield in Murfreesboro has a Junior Ranger Program that is Free.

Interested students complete a series of activities during their park visit, share their answers with a park ranger, and receive an official Junior Ranger badge or patch and Junior Ranger certificate." |
